Data Engineer (AWS)

Requirements:

1. University graduate in IT, Computer science or related discipline
2. 3 to 5 years of work experience in Insurance industry as data analyst or data engineer - Mandatory
3. Good analytical, problem solving and organizing skills.
4. Excellent understanding of SQL data storage structures and storage/query optimizations. (MySQL, Redshift and Dynamo DB) - Mandatory
5. Proficient in core language: Python
6. Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI – Good to have
7. Knowledge of data warehousing/lake concepts, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, real-time streaming and data modelling –Mandatory
8. Knowledge of AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS S3 – Good to have
9. DBT, Airflow, DMS, GIT – Good to have
10. Strong understanding to build data pipelines
11. Good English verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, with strong analytical skills – Mandatory

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for generating ad-hoc reports for marketing(10 different country) fulfilment
2. Responsible for creating and maintaining Power BI datasets, dashboards and manage access for stakeholders with different roles from
3. different countries etc.
4. Responsible for moving data from source to source, building data workflows, data management, data governance, and maintaining
5. solutions like cloud data warehouses and lakes.
6. Responsible for creating database layers to support ad-hoc reports and insights
7. Responsible to help build central data layers to enable data scientists and data analysts
