Position overview
The AI Evangelist is a client-facing role that combines business development instincts with a solid
understanding of AI technology. The person in this role works closely with clients to surface AI
opportunities, shape solution directions, and represent VCC's AI capabilities in a credible and accessible
way. Prototyping and technical delivery are handled in collaboration with VCC's internal AI engineering
team. The AI Evangelist's core contribution is connecting what clients need to what VCC can build.
Responsibilities
✓ Lead discovery and scoping conversations with business stakeholders to identify AI use cases
with practical, measurable outcomes
✓ Deliver presentations, demos, and solution walkthroughs suited to the client's context and level of
AI familiarity
✓ Document client requirements clearly enough for the internal delivery team to scope and act on
✓ Collaborate with VCC's AI engineers and architects during pre-sales and early engagement to
shape proof-of-concepts and solution designs
✓ Participate in prototype reviews and client demos, serving as the bridge between the technical
team and the client audience
✓ Identify and flag gaps in data readiness, integration, or expectations early in the engagement
lifecycle
✓ Represent VCC's AI practice at industry events, client briefings, and internal showcases
✓ Contribute to the AI capability catalogue by capturing use cases, solution patterns, and insights
from client engagements
✓ Keep up with developments in the AI landscape and share relevant updates with the broader
team
Required Qualifications
✓ Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
✓ 2 to 4 years of experience in a client-facing role such as business analysis, pre-sales, solutions
consulting, or technical account management
✓ Demonstrated experience working alongside technical teams on solution design or delivery
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical
✓ Working knowledge of AI and ML concepts including large language models, retrieval-augmented
generation, and agentic systems
✓ Ability to understand and discuss technical architectures at a level sufficient to engage both
clients and engineers credibly
✓ Familiarity with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP in the context of AI
services
Business and Communication
✓ Strong presentation and storytelling skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
✓ Ability to structure ambiguous client problems into clear, scoped briefs
✓ Competency in writing proposals, use case summaries, or capability documentation
✓ Organised and proactive in managing multiple client engagements at different stages
Interpersonal
✓ Comfortable working in a cross-functional setup with engineers, architects, and business
stakeholders
✓ Strong listening skills and a consultative approach to client conversations
✓ Able to represent technical work clearly without overselling or misrepresenting scope
Preferred Qualifications
✓ Exposure to AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar
✓ Experience contributing to RFPs, capability decks, or client-facing solution documents
✓ Background in a relevant industry vertical such as government, finance, logistics, or
manufacturing
✓ Prior involvement in AI or digital transformation projects on the client or consulting side
