Senior BIM Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive assignments from the Team Leader or Design Manager and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Study job-related codes and regulations including Eurocode, technical guidelines on engineering practice, product specifications etc. and fully understand rules and regulations.
• Read carefully structural analysis carefully to understand deeply the requirements;
• Review sketches, specifications, and other engineering data received from Clients, Architects and implement;
• Be fully responsible for the quality and up-to-date of the design drawing assigned to you;
• Prepare drawing lists for submittals and assist team leader;
• Inform the Team Leader in advance if any deadline cannot be met and provide for the solution;
• Coordinate with Team Leader, Design Manager and QA to ensure the quality of models and drawings is met;
• Produce BIM models and drawings in full compliance with the company’s QA/QC procedure; Coordinate with the Checking Engineer, Team Leader and Design Manager for any arisen matters;
• Undertake Quality assurance tasks on BIM models and drawings, check, review, correct, and sign own or assigned design drawings or models of others before every submission (if assigned as a QA engineer);
• Ensure conformity to customer specifications, company standards as well as other regulation requirements.
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes; Inform Team Leader immediately if design changes are additional service due to changes of Client/ Architecture/ Structure etc.;
• Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation (like drawings, list of design parameters, etc.) for future reference;
• Report on the progression of drawing completions, and ensure the timely completion of all assigned drawings based on the time schedule prepared by the team leader; ensure meeting personal performance level set by the Company;
• Submit the individual performance to the Team Leader on time (deadline as per company regulation);
• Inform the Team Leader if the individual performance set by the Company is not met for any month.
• Comply with the Team Leader's decision to improve yourself;
• Give advice for any opportunity to improve company procedure;
• Make the working environment professional, quiet, clean and comfortable;
• Understand fully BIM Modelling in the assigned BIM Software; Being able to develop independently BIM models and create design drawings based on the developed model;
• Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in reading under understanding most of the content of structural analysis reports according to EC2; Being able to get information out of a structural analysis report with a minimum of guidance by the team leader;
• Being able to sketch rebar details for complex building areas based on the structural analysis report;
• Support in develop and design Trainings as per company need;
• Support other BIM Engineers in job related tasks, guide BIM Engineers and provide regular trainings;
• Being able to take responsibility as the vice team leader in case of the absence of team leader;
• Control team members and support team leader in managing projects
• Having a comprehensive understanding of all parts of project design in all design stages;
• Being able to estimate the drawing quantity for projects; assist in project estimations as per assignment;
  • Meet expectation in terms of productivity and quality (not less than 75%).
  • Responsibility for following up regularly with the line manager about personal performance data, report reason for not complying with performance policy

EXPERIENCE; KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate student in related field (Civil- & Structural Engineering or technical College);
• At least 2 year’s experience in BIM Engineers.
• Proficiency in Tekla (is a must have)
• Completed successfully at least 2,200 delivered planned hours in drawing creation (in total);
• Provided at least 15h of training in total (registered trainings) to Junior BIM Engineers;
• Successfully passed entry test for the Senior BIM Engineer Level L03 position
