About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of our agri trading and commodities division. The role will focus on domestic and export market expansion, handling procurement, trading, and sales of agricultural commodities.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in commodity trading, agri-finance, supply chain management, and business development, with a proven ability to onboard new clients, build distribution networks, and manage large-volume transactions across B2B and government channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development: Identify, pursue, and establish trading opportunities for agri commodities (e.g., pulses, grains, oilseeds, fresh produce).
  • Trading & Procurement: Manage end-to-end trading operations including procurement, sales, contract negotiation, and execution.
  • Government & Institutional Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, cooperatives, and corporate clients for supply and procurement programs.
  • Business Growth: Develop distribution networks in domestic and emerging export markets, securing long-term buyers and partners.
  • Demand Planning: Forecast crop demand, plan sales strategies, and align with production/supply chain teams to ensure availability and minimal wastage.
  • Financial Services Integration: Leverage agri-finance products (BNPL, invoice discounting, equipment financing) to support clients and drive sales.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide sales teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer satisfaction.

Reporting & Analysis: Track trading volumes, margins, customer performance, and provide actionable insights for management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Commerce, or related field (MBA/PGDM in Agribusiness preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in agri commodities trading, warehousing, finance, or agribusiness development.
  • Proven track record of handling large-volume trades (domestic or export), building distribution networks, and securing institutional buyers.
  • Familiarity with commodity platforms, agri-finance products, and regulatory requirements in trading.
  • Strong network of traders, processors, distributors, and government stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for client acquisition and relationship management.
  • The employees headquarters and region of focus must be in Da Nang
