DB2 LUW database administrator

Required Skills:

Looking for a DB2 LUW DBA Resource, AWS, AWS RDS, Linux - Red Hat. The selected candidate will join a project team as part of a hybrid delivery model, collaborating with dedicated resources who leverage common tools, technologies, and methodologies to deliver client engagements effectively.

• Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts and DB2 LUW database.

• Experience in DB2 LUW instance and database creation on Linux/ Unix and Windows environment (on-premise and Cloud).

• Experience in Linux/ Unix shell scripting, shell command, crontab and vi editor.

• Database objects creation, DB object migration and data conversion.

• Knowledge on DB2 partitioning, PureScale and Federation setup is a plus.

• Experience in Logical and Physical Data Modeling.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline. Ready to work on flexible work schedule.

• Deep knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.

• Knowledge of query performance tuning.

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS Cloud infrastructure and AWS RDS.

• Linux - Red Hat.

Responsibilities:

• Support application development teams by understanding technical and business requirements, providing database services, and contributing to database design.

• The role will be responsible for managing and maintaining database environments, supporting operational stability, and performing database migrations to cloud-based platforms.
