Data Analyst

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Domain & Business Analytics

• Apply deep Life Insurance domain knowledge (e.g., policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims, renewals, persistency, lapse, riders, channels, agents/brokers, bancassurance).

• Design and deliver regionally relevant Life Insurance use cases across multiple markets (e.g., APAC).

• Generate insights across customers, products, channels, agents, and geographies using large, complex datasets.

• Support analytics initiatives across new business, renewal, cross-sell, upsell, persistency, and claims performance.

Data Analysis & Visualization

• Build, enhance, and maintain dashboards and reports to support cross-channel sales and marketing engagement.

• Perform in-depth performance analysis and present insights in leadership and company-wide forums.

• Apply predictive analytics to forecast sales, lapse risk, agent performance, and customer behavior.

• Develop segmentation models (customers, agents, products) to support targeted business strategies.

• Integration & Data Quality: Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve data integration, lineage, and quality challenges.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business requirements into analytics solutions aligned with Life Insurance KPIs.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve analytics processes, data models, and tools.

• User Enablement: Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions to business users and analytics teams.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a quantitative or analytical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or analytics roles.

• Strong hands-on experience in the Life Insurance domain (mandatory).

• Experience working in client-facing, consulting, or multi-market environments is highly preferred.

• Proven experience leading or mentoring analytics teams and managing analytics delivery.

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Strong experience in:

○ Data modeling, schema design, and data cleansing

○ Identifying and defining meaningful insurance KPIs

• Solid understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, and segmentation techniques.

• Hands-on experience with large-scale datasets and scalable analytics solutions.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate insights into measurable business impact.

• Excellent storytelling and communication skills, especially using PowerPoint, Word, or equivalent tools.

• Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced, high-impact environments.

Technical Skills

Mandatory

• SQL (advanced querying, performance optimization)

• Data visualization tools: Power BI or Tableau
