Data Integration Engineer

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 Research, analyze, design, build, and maintain data integraƟon workflows and pipelines

connecƟng CRM, ERP, and related business systems (e.g., Salesforce < > NetSuite).

 Develop and enhance real-Ɵme and batch integraƟons using APIs, middleware (e.g., Boomi), and

custom code to automate the exchange of customer, order, subscripƟon, and asset data.

 Monitor and support producƟon integraƟons by seƫng up and maintaining robust logging,

monitoring, and alerƟng to proacƟvely detect and resolve issues.

 Troubleshoot and resolve data synchronizaƟon issues, including mismatches, latency, or failed

transacƟons, ensuring consistent and accurate data flow between systems.

 Collaborate with cross-funcƟonal teams (e.g., Sales OperaƟons, Finance, Engineering) to gather

integraƟon requirements, define data mapping rules, and document workflows.

 Implement and maintain transformaƟon logic, mappings, and business rules to ensure alignment

between CRM and ERP data models, including handling custom fields and complex object

hierarchies.

 Maintain exisƟng and build new documentaƟon for all integraƟon processes, data mappings, and

operaƟonal procedures.

 Partner with data engineering and architecture teams to ensure integrated data supports

analyƟcs and reporƟng needs.

 Stay current with industry trends, integraƟon best pracƟces, and emerging technologies that can

improve performance, reliability, or maintainability.

Required Skills and Experience

 5+ years of experience in data integraƟon, data engineering, or systems integraƟon roles.

 Hands-on experience integraƟng Salesforce and NetSuite systems, with a solid understanding of

their data structures, APIs and query languages (SOQL, SuiteQL).

 Experience with accounƟng systems, subscripƟon models or order management workflows and

asset lifecycle synchronizaƟon between business systems.

 Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, including authenƟcaƟon, paginaƟon, and batch processing.

 Experience with integraƟon/middleware plaƞorms in parƟcular Boomi AtomSphere and its

process design, deployment, and management.

 Background in scripƟng languages for scripƟng custom connectors or transformaƟons and an

ability to generate custom scripƟng to handle complex business logic.

 Strong SQL skills for querying, validaƟng, and reconciling data, and understanding of relaƟonal

database concepts.

 Familiarity with data transformaƟon and mapping between systems, including custom objects

and calculated fields.

 Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integraƟon or

automaƟon capabiliƟes.

 Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a proacƟve mindset for idenƟfying issues

before they impact users.

 Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy best pracƟces related to business

system integraƟons.

 Excellent communicaƟon skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business

terms and collaborate effecƟvely across teams.

 Ability to speak fluent English.
