Voice System Engineer
Job Summary:
The role of IT Voice Engineer will work with Group Infra team to implement, testing support, monitor and upgrade local Avaya Unified Comms system, Cisco IP phone system to ensure they are secure, stable and high performing. They work closely with other teams such as infrastructure engineers, security specialists, external partner, and business stakeholders to deliver Voice system solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, support and troubleshooting of Cisco IP Phones and Avaya Unified Comms systems for business units in accordance with bank’s standard and policies.
- Implement telecommunications projects as assigned by IT Department Managers.
- Provide on-site technical leadership during project implementation to ensure compliance with standards and schedules.
- Develop written guidelines for installation, operation and maintenance of new equipment and configurations.
- Create documentation such as user manuals, procedures and reports.
- Maintain records of hardware and software inventory.
- Conduct training sessions for users of newly installed or upgraded equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors/contractors on matters relating to the projects being implemented.
- Support Voice systems in Regional and local Disaster recovery exercise.
- Work with relevant team in VA screening and patching.
Qualifications & Experience:
- English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
- 3- 5+ years’ experience with Cisco IP Phones and Avaya PBX systems.

- Experience in BAU Operation
- Ability to grasp complex design concepts quickly and understand.
- Client-facing skills to include cross-functional influence, external and internal consulting/partnering.
- Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users.
- Generate standard project documentation including Low level design, Network Diagrams, WLIs, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot implementation problems.
