Cloud Network Engineer Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Collaborate with cloud architects and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures.
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure components, ensuring availability, performance, and security.
- Design & configure cloud networking components (e.g. VNETs, subnets, VPN connectivity) as part of overall cloud solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new Azure services, tools, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
Qualifications:
- Total YOE: 6+
- equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud platform engineering, primarily on Microsoft Azure.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (compute, storage, networking, security).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated deployments.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking concepts is a plus (not required to be a network expert).
Required Technologies:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g. Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage).
- Experience containerize application with AKS
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
- Proficiency in configuration of network technologies (e.g., VPN, SDN, DNS, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices (IAM, RBAC, basic network security concepts).
- Experience with cloud observability and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Knowledge of scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to hybrid connectivity or on-premises networking environments.
