Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or relevant fields
• 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role within the life insurance industry or other relevant financial services sector

Technical Skills

• Experience with Data Warehouse: Databricks, Spark
• Experience with Business Intelligence: Power BI
• Expert-level SQL: SQL Server, Databricks SQL
• Experience in programming languages: Python, Spark
• Experience with Git source control
• Experience building data models, especially in the insurance domain
• Hands-on experience working on data projects with complete CI/CD systems
• Experience with ETL tools: Azure Data Factory, Airflow

Soft Skills

• Ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders
• Lead by example – hands-on when required to support the team
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly; English communication is required
• Strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset
